Privacy Policy

1. What we collect
Account details (name, email) and the IFC models you upload, which we convert and store to power the 3D viewer. We also keep basic operational logs.
If you use the in-app assistant (Ask ZI), we keep a question that the user guide could not answer, together with your account, so that the guide can be improved. We keep it for 90 days and then delete it, including when conversation saving is off. Saving a conversation is a separate, optional choice, off by default. Where saved history is available, enabling it saves future questions and final assistant responses to your account; it does not save earlier turns. Each saved conversation becomes unavailable 30 days after it is created, even if you add more questions. Expired records are removed by maintenance.
2. How we use it
To provide and improve the Service: authenticating you, converting and serving your models, and keeping the platform secure and reliable.
3. Sharing
We do not sell your data. We use processors (e.g. hosting, transactional email) only to operate the Service.
When you use the in-app assistant, the questions and answers of that conversation are sent to Anthropic, which produces the answer, including when project-data sharing is off. Guide mode does not automatically include project records; anything you type in a question is sent. If you enable “Use project data” in AI settings, we also send a limited, read-only snapshot from the selected project you can access: model names and summaries, stored analysis counts, and your authorized workflow queue. On an element-history page, or for an element you have selected in the 3D viewer, the snapshot also includes that Object ID, its recorded identity/name, historical and current finding counts, and up to five current finding titles, IDs, severities and statuses, and a limited listing of that element's recorded attributes, property values and quantities. The IFC ID and the authoring tool's identifier are not sent as such, though a name or property value contains whatever its author wrote in it. Where model search is enabled and a model is selected, a question about that model's elements also sends a count and a limited sample of the matching elements: their Object IDs, classes, names and the matched property value. Raw IFC files and geometry are not sent. Switching project, model or object clears the active conversation and applies your saved project-data choice, including any per-project override. Saved history does not enable project-data sharing: continuing a saved project conversation requires permission in AI settings and current access to its project context. Saved answers describe historical snapshots, not the current state of a project. Project questions are not stored in the guide-improvement worklist.
When model-analysis summaries are enabled for the service, processing also sends Anthropic grouped validation findings, including limited observed-value samples, and model completeness counts. These summaries run separately from ZI's project-data setting. Raw IFC files and geometry are not sent through these calls.
4. Security
Passwords are hashed and sessions are protected. No system is perfectly secure; use a strong, unique password.
5. Your choices
Settings › AI (ZI) lets you change project-data sharing, set a per-project override, stop saving future turns or delete saved conversations. We record each choice with your account, the time and the notice version, and ask again if that notice changes. Clearing the active conversation starts again without deleting saved history. Saving is separate from the guide-improvement worklist described above. You can delete your models at any time. Contact us to request account deletion.
6. Changes
We may update this policy; we'll revise the date above when we do.
